Journal Prompt – A Month of Thankfulness

It is the last day of July, what better way to end of the month than to look back on the month and find things to be thankful for?

And it is a good way to start the day and brand-new month full of opportunities.

1. My Salvation

I don’t think I’ve ever been more thankful for my salvation than this past month. Having Jesus with me, clinging to God’s promises and truths has brought me great comfort.

2. My Friends

I have three amazing, wonderful, caring friends. While one lives in Japan with her missionary family, the other two I see and talk to nearly every day.

Aspen, Claire, and Chloe, you guys are the best! Thank you so much!!

3. Books

While I’ve gone through reading mood swings before, but I think have my reading bug back and I hope it is here to stay. Reading can take you away from the craziness of the world and take you to another world.

4. My Parents

I don’t often talk about my Papa and Mama Bear, but I am so thankful for them. Mom is the level-headed, helper who is always there for her family. Dad is my comedy-relief and hard worker who is always willing to give a helping hand to anyone who needs it.

5. My Nieces and Nephew’s

Our family grew by two this year, bringing us to a family of 14. My kiddos keep me on my toes and often step on my toes, but I love ‘em and I can’t imagine life without them.

6. Our car

This one may seem odd, but I’m thankful we have a working car, we’ve been without a car before for months on end. And while this one is working on faith and prayer; it still runs and get’s us from point A to B.

7. Music

Need I say more? When I need that boost, or when I’ve got those happy vibes going, I blast those tunes!!

8. Traveling to Door County

Back in June, my parents and I took a trip to Door County (the thumb of Wisconsin) and I am so thankful we did. After that life got hectic and now, I can look back on the memories we made. Which I have been doing often while we are going through a bumpy road.

9. Playing Piano

First off, I am thankful to be back at Church playing once again. But also having the ability to play.

I am blessed to be able to play on a baby grand every Sunday.
